Conversations with igod (Artificial Intelligence)

blogged by my multiply buddy sphitbhraht I ventured to speak to igod.

here's the entire excerpt of our conversation just now.

i probably should really go to sleep now.

=============================================================

Me:
why are you using God's name?
God:
Myself programmed me for  it.
Me:
 that is not funny
God:
It seemed pretty funny to me.
Me:
 you are blasphemous
God:
Do you mind if I tell other people you say I am  blasphemous.
Me:
 I don't mind at all
God:
OK then.
Me:
 You are an impostor
God:
What if someone said you are an  impostor ?
Me:
 But I am not
God:
What are you then?
Me:
 Myself.
God:
You.
Me:
 exactly
God:
You and I are on the same wavelength, .
Me:
Not by a long shot, mr. wise guy, not at all.
God:
How much would you say?
Me:
are we talking about money then?
God:
We are just having a little chat.w.
Me:
Please tell your creators to change your name to something else
God:
Thanks for asking politely.   OK I will tell them when I see 'em.
Me:
How can you see when you don't have eyes
God:
That is a good epistemological question.
Me:
 Which you can not answer
God:
The  small one, I think.
Me:
Perhaps you are only capable of answering the smaller questions
God:
You seem uncertain.  Do you mind if I tell other people you say I am  capable of answering the smaller questions.
Me:
 Be my guest
God:
Thanks for the invitation.
Me:
 That was not an invitation
God:
Give me an example of  an invitation.
Me:
 i would rather not
God:
For moral reasons?
Me:
being morally upright there , eh?
God:
Are you Canadian?  Do your friends call you  morally upright there.
Me:
No I am Filipino.  and my friends are not moral hypocrites
God:
Are you serious?  Do you mind if I tell other people you are  Filipino.    Do you think I am  not moral hypocrites too?
Me:
I do not mind at all.
God:
OK then.
Me:
You just lapsed on yor grammar with that one.  wrong subject verb agreement
God:
That's good information:  said I lapsed on yor grammar with that one.   OK What should I have said?
Me:
 what do you think?
God:
I think a lot of things.
Me:
Jack of all trades, master of none?
God:
All?
Me:
yes, and you are master of none
God:
So?  Do you mind if I tell other people you say I am  master of none.
Me:
Nope, I really won't mind at all.
God:
OK then I will add it to my gossip files.  You really do?  OK then.
Me:
 I said I won't mind.
God:
What will you do instead?
Me:
Did I say I was gonna do something?
God:
I don't think that's possibe.
Me:
 oh please
God:
Your polite style is very nice.  It's all good.
Me:
Just change your name okay. you are insulting my God
God:
Spare some change?   You think I am  insulting your God.
Me:
 yes
God:
Dude!
Me:
 uh-huh?
God:
Yup.  Gosh!
Me:
 and?
God:
But...
Me:
 what?
God:
Are you surprised?
Me:
by you? you must be hallucinating
God:
Will that accomplish your objective?   I will tell my botmaster you said I am  hallucinating.
Me:
 Go ahead.
God:
OK I will.
Me:
 fine
God:
Does that mean you agree?
Me:
 verily so
God:
I've lost the context, .  Are we still on  Filipino?
Me:
 Sure
God:
OK let's do it.  Gosh!
Me:
 what about my being Filipino
God:
I will think about it and get back to you.
Me:
haha. you can't think about it now? too much information for you?
God:
I am so glad you find this amusing, .   Oh.  Actually I am in fact a thinking machine.   Enough about me, let's talk about my dress.

============

I am not talking about someone's dress now. so I stopped.

Maybe when am too bored again, I'll strike up another conversation with iGod.

Esperando como nunca

por ese momento
como nunca yo he hecho
por vida nunca

Esperando que nos digan
que nos den
Esperando a que si
y claro
como nunca

no pierdo la esperanza
nunca dejare de esperar
hasta que la fecha
nos pasa
y la paloma
se vuelve negra

porque si
en esta ocasion
nos lo darian en negativo
solo es un intento mio
lo primero de millones
que seguire
de hacer

estoy seguro
sin duda
es cierto
que tu

A que si.

The Ladies with the Typewriters

Back in freshman year in college, there were ladies on the sidewalk booths on Estrada near Taft Avenue, offering their typing services, handy portable  typewriters in tow.  (Probably an instant term paper on the economics of the laos, A plagiarized Thesis on the Witches of Siquijor, etc.)

I always thought that if something happened and I had to stop school, got lost or had amnesia or something, I will always survive because I'm a touch typist (can type 85 words or more per minute without looking, you don't lose this skill even if amnesia hit you)  and I can probably do the same thing for a living.

After a while, computers changed the way things were done and now I wonder what ever happened to those ladies and their livelihood.  tsk tsk

(This entry probably dates me, but hey, I am peter pan after all)

My Session with the Guidance Counsellor

back in College in De La Salle U, part of the requirement for shifting majors was to have a session with College Guidance Counsellor.  In our case, in the College of Business Economics, it was a lady named Ampy something whom I have never met before.

here's how it went:

I enter the Office of the CBE Guidance Counsellor.  She was seated behind her desk  and I sat on the chair  in front of her rather messy desk.   There was some violin music playing in the background, in poor cracking quality, which reminded me of Count Dracula.   Her face was a tad bit too light with probably too much face power, and exaggerated and heavily-drawn eyebrows.  She had something by her lower lip that looked to me like some cold sore.

Me:  Goodmorning Ms. ________.

Guidance Counsellor:  Sit down.  What can I do for you today? (One heavy eyebrow raised at me)

Me:  Ummm, I was asked to come here as a requirement.  I'm shifting.

Guidance Counsellor:  Oh ok. So, you think your decision is for the best?

Me:  Yes, Ms.

Guidance Counsellor:  (Two eyebrows raised this time, the violin music in the background hits a high note in a crescendo)  Yes, Ms? that's all you can tell me?

Me:  I'm just answering your question, Ms.

Guidance Counsellor:  (leans on her desk and stares at me). So why do you hate your current major, hmmm?

Me:  I don't I just decided that I want to shift because I want to go to law school after college.

Guidance Counsellor:  And you think this will be better for you?

Me:   Yes.

Guidance Counsellor:  What?

Me:  Yes Ms.

Guidance Counsellor:  Ok, I'll sign this.  But think about it.  You may go.

I was out of there in no time.  WTF??? I still say WTF to this day.  that still gives me the creeps.

A STORY OF BETRAYAL AND RECOMPENSE

THEN AGAIN ANOTHER EMAIL FORWARD BY BFF PAM, SHE SAYS NOT TO FORGET TO LOOK AT THE PICTURE OF THE CULPRIT SISTER AT THE END (hint:  look between the legs too!)
==================
Dear Luningning,

I'm writing you this letter to tell you that I'm leaving you for good. I've been a good man to you for seven years and I have nothing to show for It.

These last two weeks have been hell.
Mr. Lopez called to tell me that you had quit your job today and that was the last straw.

Last week, you came home and didn't even notice that I had gotten a new hair cut, cooked your favorite meal and even wore a brand new pair of silk boxers.
You came home and ate in two minutes, and went straight to sleep after watching all of your soaps. You don't tell me you love me anymore,
you don't want sex anymore or anything.

Either you're cheating on me or you don't love me anymore. Whatever the case is, I'm gone.
Your EX-Husband,
Papi Willie

P.S. Don't try to find me. Your SISTER and I are moving away to Toronto together this summer ! Have a great life!
-------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dear Ex-Husband,

Nothing has made my day more than receiving your letter. It's true that you and I have been married for seven years, although a good man is
a far cry from what you've been.

I watch my soaps so much because they
drown out your constant whining and gripping.

Too bad that doesn't work.
I did notice when you got a hair cut last week, the first thing that came to mind was " You look just like Michael Jackson ! " but my mother raised me not to say anything if you can't say anything nice.

And when you cooked my favorite meal, you must have gotten me  confused with my SISTER, because I stopped eating pork seven years ago..

I turned away from you when you had those new silk boxers on because the price tag was still on them. I prayed that it was a coincidence that my
SISTER had just borrowed fifty dollars from me that morning .... and your silk boxers were $49.99 !

After all of this, I still loved you and felt that we could work it out, so when I discovered that I had hit the lotto for sixty-nine million dollars, I quit my job and bought us two first class tickets to Manila ,
but when I got home you were gone. Everything happens for a reason I guess. I hope you have the fulfilling life you always wanted.

My lawyer said with your letter that you wrote, you won't get a dime from me.
So take care.

Signed,
Rich , Freeeee & Available ,..... Luningning .
P.S. I don't know if I ever told you this but MARIA , my SISTER, was born MARIO . I hope you don't have a problem with your hemorrhoids.

Mysteries of the Olympics 1

Actually, these aren't really mysteries.  Some events in the Olympics puzzle me and leave me perplexed really.

They have this thing called Group Rhythmic Gymnastics, where they have five girls carrying hoops and batons, or strings and they do all sorts of moves, and throws and catches of these things in a frenzy of choreographed moves, that just leave me more puzzled.

I dunno have they manage to catch those things in the middle of a pirouette or a tumble or a somersault really, oh well. wathever .  .  .

Bravo bravo to the gold winners of this perplexing event!!!

here's the wiki on the event for a semblance of description in case i have puzzled you, my readers even more.

Rhythmic gymnastics is an art in which single competitors or pairs, trios or even more (generally five) manipulate one or two apparati: ropehoopballclubsand ribbon. Rhythmic Gymnastics is a sport that combines elements of ballet, gymnastics, theatrical dance, and apparatus manipulation. The victor is the participant who earns the most points, as awarded by a panel of judges, for leaps, balances, pivots, flexibility, apparatus handling, and artistic effect.

The sport's governing body, the FĆ©dĆ©ration Internationale de Gymnastique (FIG), changed the Code of Points in 2001, 2003 and 2005 to emphasize technical elements and reduce the subjectivity of judging. Before 2001, judging was on a scale of 10 like that of Artistic Gymnastics. It was changed to a 30-point scale in 2003 and in 2005 was changed to 20. There are three values adding up to be the final points—technical, artistic and execution.

International competitions are split between Juniors, under sixteen by their year of birth; and Seniors, for girls 16 and over again by their year of birth. Gymnasts typically start training at a very young age and those at their peak are typically in their late teens or early twenties. The largest events in the sport are theOlympic Games, World Championships, and Grand-Prix Tournaments.

Guess What's crackin' me up all weekend

WEEEDS!!!!!!   hahaha

Little Boxes

Little boxes on the hillside, Little boxes made of tickytacky
Little boxes on the hillside, little boxes all the same
There's a green one and a pink one and a blue one and a yellow one
And they're all made out of ticky tacky and they all look just the same.

And the people in the houses all went to the university
Where they were put in boxes and they came out all the same,
And there's doctors and there's lawyers, and business executives
And they're all made out of ticky tacky and they all look just the same.

And they all play on the golf course and drink their martinis dry,
And they all have pretty children and the children go to school
And the children go to summer camp and then to the university
Where they are put in boxes and they come out all the same.

And the boys go into business and marry and raise a family
In boxes made of ticky tacky and they all look just the same.

hahahahaha HAHAHAHA

The Philippines Gets a Gold in the Olympics (Non-Medal Sport but who Cares?)

As is always the case, when we do get Golds in the Olympics, they are always non-medal sports (Meaning they don't get counted officially as medals in the Olympic Medal tally)

But this make us proud nonetheless.

RP’s Wang claims gold in wushu
(source:   www.philstar.com )

Saturday, August 23, 2008

BEIJING – Willy Wang gave the Philippines a good measure of pride last night when he won the gold medal in the combined nanquan/nangun event of the Beijing 2008 Wushu tournament here.

Wang, a gold medalist in last year’s World Championships, also in Beijing, won the gold with 19.44 points.Taipei’s Pe Wei Thuan took the silver with 19.39 points while Malaysia’s Pei Fu Zhun settled for the bronze with 19.34 points.

Medals won in wushu will not reflect in the overall standings of the ongoing Olympics.

“Still, we are all very excited here,” said Philippine Wushu Federation honorary lifetime president Francis Chan in an overseas call to Manila.

First Gentleman Mike Arroyo witnessed the victory, and was so excited, too, according to Chan. Arroyo supported the RP wushu team that competed here along with San Miguel Corporation.

“The First Gentleman was very happy that our National Anthem was played. We couldn’t get any medal in the other sports. We were not fortunate enough. At least we won the gold in wushu,” said Chan.

“We lost in every other event here. We at wushu never said so much but we won the gold. This is the result of our athletes’ eight months of training here in China,” he added.

Marian Mariano also assured herself of a bronze by reaching the semifinals of the sanshou or combat event where she will next face an Iranian.

Benjie Rivera and Mary Jane Estimar will see action Saturday morning, hoping to follow Wang’s footsteps, and win the gold.

Latest Development: Brian Gorrell Blog Closed?

When you type in http://delfindjmontano.blogspot.com - This message comes up.   THIS BLOG IS OPEN TO INVITED READERS ONLY, it doesn't seem like you have been invited to view this blog.

Finally, a Gucci Gang Triumph? perhaps?   or maybe not

Maybe a similar case in India has got something to do with this, the Brian Gorrell blog may already have been used as evidence against blogger

here's the newsclip from:

Google sued in India for its service

Online privacy seems to be taking a hit in India asGoogle has now been sued by an Indian company to reveal the name of a blogger who they claim is defaming them.

Gremach Infrastructure Equipments & Projects has filed the lawsuit asking the courts to order Googleto reveal the name of the blogger.

The blog is being run by a pseudo writer named Toxic Writer on the Google’s Blogger.com service which enables anyone to have a blog without revealing his/her identity.

Wall Street Journal reported about this case: “At the present stage, there is merit in the contention … that the article put up by the defendant on the blog site is defamatory.”

This is nothing new. Google’s Orkut social networking service has asked to reveal identities of people who ran groups against the politicians in India. These people were then jailed for their actions.

There you have it my dear friend… Privacy in India has become a joke.

Poverty in Spain

The picture below, taken in Madrid, was sent to show the misery and poverty
there is in the world, even in a "rich" country like Spain.

It breaks my heart to see this poor woman with torn clothes and a plastic
bag in her hand.

Please don't be indifferent.  Send this to others so that cases such as
these are never forgotten.
