Not The Next Boracay, stupid

The Inquirer featured this beach in Lahus Island, somewhere in the Bicol Region tagging it as the next Boracay.    

You see, this is the problem with us pinoys.  As something is discovered, we immediately compare it to something else that's already established. 

This beach is great in its own right, tourism or not.  

And it definitely is not the next Boracay, it is a paradise on its own right, as much as Boracay Beach and hundreds of other beaches are, in our underrated country called the Philippines.

NEXT BORACAY WITH A DIFFERENCE Lahus Island in the remote town of Caramoan in Camarines Sur with its stunning feature of a back-to-back beach is just one of a spread of pristine islets with powdery white sand. One of them, Gota beach, is the site of the French edition’s eighth season of the wildly popular reality TV show, “Survivor.” According to Gov. Luis Raymund Villafuerte, the local government will implement a P200-million development plan in the peninsular town to include the building of roads and an airport.
